If Ellen Pompeo was going to find a new role after 20 years as a series regular on ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy,” it had to be good.

“Wicked” landing on Peacock for home sing-alongs and Ellen Pompeo starring in her first big role since stepping back from ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” are some of this week’s new streaming entertainment releases.

In a time when streaming and a pandemic have radically transformed cinema consumption over the past decade, a growing number of mostly younger people are contributing to a renaissance of the Los Angeles independent movie theater scene.

There is something for everyone at the movies this summer, both in theaters and streaming at home.

This week’s new entertainment releases include Taylor Swift's rerecording of her “Speak Now,” a documentary on Wham.

Sheltons publicist, Adam Kersh, said in a statement Saturday that she died Friday in Los Angeles from an unidentified blood disorder. He was a frequent collaborator with Shelton, starring in her 2009 film Humpday, which was a depiction of male sexuality through a female lens.
