The body of a missing kayaker was found Friday morning in the St. Johns River, southeast of the Memorial Bridge in Palatka, according the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

As the search resumes Thursday morning for a kayaker missing in Putnam County, the missing man’s father has identified him as a 43-year-old father of three.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office said it is searching around the Memorial Bridge in the St. Johns River for a missing kayaker.
