FLEMING ISLAND, Fla. – A man died after driving into a retention pond in Fleming Island early Sunday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Troopers said they were called around 3:20 a.m. to the accident in Neptune Park off Thunderbolt Road. According to FHP, a 34-year-old Orange Park man was driving a sedan west on Thunderbolt Road when the car went into the pond. BRADFORD COUNTY, Fla. - An ATV was stopped in the outside southbound lane on US-301 when a 2018 Nissan Altima it. The teenage driver of the ATV was thrown into the roadway. The ATV was run into the northbound lane. An oncoming Chevy pickup truck did not see the teenager until the last minute. The driver of the Chevy tried avoiding the teenager, but ended up running them over.

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. - There's a neighborhood crime alert in St. Johns County, where deputies said someone in a car pointed a rifle at a man late Tuesday in West Augustine. The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday released surveillance photos of that car, which deputies said appears to be a newer-model silver Nissan Altima with dark-tinted windows. The next day, deputies announced that the car was located in some woods and they determined it was listed as stolen out of Volusia County.
