The sister of a 25-year-old veterinary tech who was brutally raped and murdered in Orange Park in 2007 choked back tears Saturday outside the Clay County courthouse as she spoke on behalf of her family.

Michael Renard Jackson showed no emotion in court Saturday as he heard for the second time that he had been convicted by a jury of the rape and murder of a 25-year-old veterinary tech in Orange Park.

The jury was excused to deliberate Friday in the retrial of a man accused of raping and murdering a veterinary technician in Orange Park in 2007.
