Actor Chance Perdomo has died at age 27 following a motorcycle crash.

The United States has slapped visa restrictions on 50 immediate family members of Nicaraguan officials who have been involved in or benefited from President Daniel Ortega’s growing repression.

Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images(CNN) - CW's "Riverdale" has recruited a special guest to help the show pay tribute to late cast member Luke Perry in its upcoming season premiere. "I am deeply honored to pay tribute to Luke on Riverdale," Doherty wrote on instagram. Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa had said last month the season premiere would be dedicated to saying goodbye to Perry, who appeared on the show since 2017. In a statement, Aguirre-Sacasa said Perry had wanted Doherty to guest since season 1 of the show. "They were such good friends, and when we were putting together this tribute episode, we wanted to make it as special as possible, and so we asked Shannen to do a pivotal, super-emotional role," he said.

During ET's interview in the Comic-Con suite with the Riverdale cast on Saturday, Apa opened up about how they will honor Perry with the upcoming season. ET: Fans watched a Luke Perry montage during Sunday's Comic-Con panel. The first episode is really going to be a tribute to Luke. They were both such amazing human beings that we wanted to really ,really craft an emotional and deep tribute to him, which is what I hope this episode is. When Apa accidentally knocks over a vase on set, Perry doesn't skip a beat before making fun of his on-screen son. "It usually is really, really fun on set!"
