WOODBINE, Ga. – A man accused of killing his 24-year-old girlfriend and injuring her 1-year-old daughter two years ago went on trial Tuesday in Camden County. St. Marys police quickly identified Roney Wilson, as a suspect in the case and he was arrested in Indianapolis four months later. He was returned to Camden County to face charges of murder and aggravated assault charges. Several incidents related to Wilson happened at the Cumberland Oaks Apartments and throughout the city of St. Marys. In 2008, Wilson was arrested on charges of probation violation obstruction and more charges of assault and battery, according to reports.

ST. MARYS, Ga. – A man was rescued from the water Friday near Cumberland Sound in Camden County, Georgia, the U.S. Coast Guard said. Coast Guard Sector Jacksonville Command Center was notified about 1:45 p.m. that an unmanned 30-foot cabin cruiser, Spartina, had drifted into a dredge vessel. A Coast Guard Station Mayport 45-foot response boat and an Air Station Savannah MH-65 Dolphin rescue helicopter crew launched just before 2:30 p.m. to begin search efforts. About 3:45 p.m., the Coast Guard said, the response boat crew located a 71-year-old man near the north jetties of the St. Marys River. The Coast Guard said the man was taken to Baptist Medical Center Nassau with no reported injuries.

ST. MARYS, Ga. – A Jacksonville man died Sunday from a single gunshot wound to the chest, according to police. Jacari Graham, 21, was found lying in the road outside a friend's home on Pinehurst Drive. He was pronounced dead at the scene after police received a call of an individual who had been shot in the chest. Graham was found next to the open driver side door of a car. Graham was an alumnus of Sandalwood High School where he played football.

ST. MARYS, Ga. – Police released an image Thursday afternoon of a man who they said robbed a Bank of America in St. Marys, Georgia. The robbery was reported at 1:25 p.m. Thursday, and the man was seen leaving the area in a gold or tan, medium-sized, four-door vehicle, which might be a Buick, police said. The vehicle was driven by a white woman with blonde hair, wearing a white shirt or blouse with some red writing on the clothing. Anyone with information on the identity of the robber is asked to call The St. Marys Police Department (912) 882-4488 or The Camden County Sheriff's Office at (912) 729-1442 or Anonymous Tip Line (912) 510-5163.

MARYS, Ga. – A man wanted for murder in the April shooting death of his 24-year-old girlfriend and aggravated assault in the injury of her 1-year-old daughter was arrested in Indianapolis Thursday afternoon, the St. Marys Police Department said. According to the reports, several incidents happened at the Cumberland Oaks Apartments and throughout the city of St. Marys. In 2008, he was arrested on charges of probation violation obstruction and more charges of assault and battery, according to reports. He allegedly grabbed her by the neck, threw her into the bathtub and wouldn't let her leave, the report said. Wilson was charged with felony aggravated assault, felony false imprisonment and misdemeanor battery, the incident report said.

ST. MARYS, Ga. – Thousands of dollars worth of stolen equipment was returned to a St. Marys small business owner after he said he confronted a man believed to be involved the theft. The St. Marys Police Department said it's investigating the theft that occurred at East Coast Motor Sports Sunday night. But Charles Cochran, the owner of the business, said he did not want to wait a minute to go after the person who stole more than $6,000 worth of equipment from his store. The next day, some of the stolen equipment showed up at his second business location in Yulee. Even with some of his equipment returned, Cochran said, he's still out about $4,000.

MARYS, Ga. – The St. Marys Police Department is trying to find 36-year-old Lamont Ryan Taylor in connection with a family violence incident involving his 44-year-old live-in girlfriend at their home in the Pelican Point Apartments. During the incident, police say Taylor threatened his girlfriend with knives and physically assaulted her with his hands. According to police Taylor held his girlfriend in the apartment and wouldn't let her to leave. The victim got away from and was taken by a friend to Camden Campus for medical treatment. Criminal arrest warrants have been issued for Taylor for the offenses of false imprisonment, aggravated assault, criminal attempt of rape and aggravated sexual battery against his live-in girlfriend.

ST. MARYS, Ga. – A dog was euthanized Thursday after being shot by a police officer it had attacked and bitten in the thigh, police said. Officers responded to reports of dogs attacking two women on Martha Drive near Chateau Garden Apartments at 7:52 a.m. Thursday. Officers spoke with the resident of 502 Chateau Circle, who was in his driveway speaking on a phone. The resident of 502 tried to shoo the dogs away and succeeded in stopping two of them. But an officer was attacked by the third dog, which was a pit bull.
