JSO searching for suspects In July 3 crash

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 74-year-old man died Monday from injuries he suffered when he was hit by a car earlier this month in Jacksonville. Police are searching for the driver of the car who fled the scene.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said Willie Hodge was crossing Edgewood Avenue near Vernon Street on July 3 when a car hit him and took off. The car is described as a white, two-door Chrysler, possibly with a sunroof offset with a visor or wind reflector. Investigators said the windshield should also have significant damage. Investigators said a black man and a black woman were inside the car.
