JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man who police said turned left in front of oncoming traffic on Beach Boulevard Sunday morning has died, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Police said the driver, who was identified only as a man in his 60s, was turning from Beach onto Peach Drive about 11:20 a.m. when he was struck. He was taken to UF Health Jacksonville, where he died.

Evidence technicians and traffic homicide detectives investigated. Beach Boulevard was closed for several hours.
