Vaccines adults need

We have reminded you several times about the importance of getting a flu shot this fall, but there are some other important vaccinations for adults to remember as well. Besides the seasonal flu shot, the CDC recommends getting a booster to protect against COVID-19. It also recommends getting a T-dap booster to protect against tetanus and diphtheria every ten years.Older adults over 65 are also encouraged to get a pneumonia vaccine. Pneumonia can pose a serious risk for older adults and getting vaccinated could keep them out of the hospital. People 50 and older should also get vaccinated against shingles, which causes a painful rash.
