Increasing rain this week

Plenty of moisture to supply inches of rain ahead

Rain picks up this week.

JACKSONVILLE, FL – Scattered storms inland will drift slowly and some could track toward the coast and last as late as midnight. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy and stay sticky with the mid to upper 70s.

Don’t expect any dry days ahead. Look for a very wet Monday and Tuesday with slow moving storms in the afternoon and evening.

North Florida will be one of the wettest spots in the state with over an inch of rain concentrating between I-95 and the River.

The rain will add up to 2-3 inches to start the week with storms that also target the beaches which have been drier lately.

A stalled surface front will linger across Georgia through mid-week keeping the moisture flowing in without any big break in the rainy pattern through the weekend. Highs stay in the mid 90s early this week with lower 90s after Thursday.
