JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – An accident that closed I 295 northbound lanes near the Old St. Augustine road has now been reopend.
Spokesman for JFRD John Bracey says JFRD was responding to an accident when the engine that was responding to help was struck by another vehicle, causing heavy traffic delays in the northbound lanes of I 295.

Police asked drivers to use caution when traveling in the area. No firefighters were injured in the accident. A total of three people were taken to Baptist Medical Center South, there were no reports of any serious injuries.
