Arrest made in apartment robbery

Police: Suspect stole victim's wallet, pills

PALM COAST, Fla. – A 20-year-old Palm Coast man was charged Monday in connection with the robbery of an European Village resident last month.

Kenneth Peters was arrested Monday.

Flagler County Sheriff's Office deputies said Peters attacked a 60-year-old man inside his unit on Jan. 31.

The victim told police he was knocked unconscious. When he woke up, his wallet and prescription pills were missing.

The victim suffered a severe head wound and was taken to Florida Hospital Flagler. He received 15 staples and needed more than 50 stitches.

Deputies said Peters admitted that he planned on stealing the victim's medication, but denied actually taking the pills.

Deputies said a bag belonging to the victim was found inside the apartment complex. Peters is accused of stealing the bag.

Along with robbery charges, Peters also faces violation of misdemeanor probation.

Peters is being held at the Flagler County Jail without bail.
