JACKSONVILLE, Fla – A KFC in St Augustine had a closure.  It's on US 1 in the Kmart Plaza.  The inspector found half a dozen live roaches inside the wiring area of microwave at the back part of the kitchen. The inspector did come back later that day and still found a live roach and another dead behind the drink station. The KFC remained closed until the next day and the inspector came back. This time they fixed all the problems There were zero violations period.
 

AKI 7 on Atlantic Boulevard  had only three high priority violations but one that shut it down for the night.  The inspector found dead roaches on the premises. Five dead roaches,  one was by sushi bar, and four were by ware washing. They were all closed by the operator.  That was a basic violation but the concern for the inspector was the live roaches.  The inspector Roach activity present as evidenced by live roaches found. Approximately 30 live roaches were found in the kitchen on a shelf by the cookline.  One live roach was found by soda machine. They were allowed to open back up the next after the inspector came back and the roaches were gone.

Xpress Grille in Gainesville was closed for the night because of live roach activity.  The inspector found  25 live roaches in electrical components.  They were found in the compressor area of a chest freezer on the make line.  The inspector also found raw animal food stored over ready-to-eat food, in the reach in freezer:   Specifically raw beef over cut vegetables and raw beef over cooked chicken.  They were allowed to open the next day after the inspector did a recheck.
