PALM COAST, Fla. – A man was charged Sunday with aggravated child abuse after a 4-year-old was thrown against the ground, suffering serious head injuries.
First responders arrived at 5 Ethel Lane Saturday just after 5:30 p.m. in reference to a call that a child was injured.
According to the Flagler County Sheriff's Office, Christopher C. Williams picked up the 4-year-old boy by his arms, raised him over his head and slammed the boy onto a carpeted concrete floor.
The boy was airlifted to Shands Medical Center in Gainesville in critical but stable condition.
Williams was arrested and taken to the Flagler County Jail. He is being held on $10,000 bond.
