JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was found guilty of first-degree murder and two counts of armed robbery Wednesday, state attorneys said.

Two people were talking outside of an Art Museum Drive apartment complex when they were held at gunpoint and robbed in September 2012, according to state attorneys.

After taking the victims' money and other belongings, one of the victims, Ranod McKann, 16, was shot, state attorneys said.

Tyrone Taylor, 23, and his co-defendants fled the scene. State attorneys said McKann later died from his injuries.

Taylor faces mandatory life in prison. State attorneys said he will be sentenced the week of April 4.
