JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 54-year-old man was convicted this week of armed robbery and armed trespass, the State Attorney's Office said.
Kenneth Russell McCallister now faces life in prison. He will be sentenced the week of Aug. 22.

In September 2015, McCallister entered a Dollar General store on Atlantic Boulevard, approached the clerk at the front counter and told her to open the cash register.
When another employee approached, McCallister pulled out a gun, pointed it at the employees and again demanded them to open the register. The victims complied and McCallister took the money and fled the scene.
