Williams was travelling southbound on U.S. 441 when his truck ran off the road and drove across the northbound lanes before spinning-out then crashing into a traffic sign, FHP said.

After striking the sign, Williams’ truck hit a concrete culvert, sending the truck airborne, FHP said. The truck traveled more than 100 feet through the air before hitting and breaking a palm tree and a dogwood tree, FHP said.

Williams’ truck overturned twice before coming to a stop on its side, FHP said.

Williams was taken to Shands Lake Shore Regional Medial Center for treatment.

Bing was taken to UF Health Shands hospital for treatment.
