JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man is dead after he was found shot multiple times Wednesday afternoon at a gas station on Harts Road, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. Adam Blinn said units were dispatched to Valero gas station on Harts Road north of Dunn Avenue just after 4:30 p.m. “It appears there was a fight between several individuals just prior to the gunshots,” Blinn said. He did not have the make and model of the vehicle, which was heading north on Harts Road. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 45-year-old woman was shot and killed Wednesday evening in the Goodby’s Creek neighborhood, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. “We knew the neighbor, tried to go in,” neighbor Jane Parkinson said. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office dive team van and a couple of police vehicles could be seen Thursday at the home in Goodby's Creek. According to city records and other neighbors, a family moved into the home about two years ago after doing major renovations on the house. “They made terrific improvements to the property they bought and basically have been rather diligent -- to me, model neighbors,” neighbor Paul Heck said.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man who police believe was shot once in the abdomen was found dead in a white SUV Tuesday morning in front of a house on West 42nd Street, half a block west of Main Street. Adam Blinn said a resident called 911 about 7:30 a.m. to report a person unresponsive in a vehicle. When police and Jacksonville Fire-Rescue personnel arrived, the man was dead. One man who works in the area thinks the shooting death probably has something to do with drug dealing. This was the 134th homicide in Jacksonville this year.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A man's body was found Wednesday in a parking lot behind a business in Arlington, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said. Adam Blinn, with the Sheriff's Office, said police responded about 3 p.m. to Arlington Road, near the intersection of Bert and Lone Star roads, after a person taking trash to a dumpster saw a man thought to be injured. The man, who was described as being between the ages of 30 and 40, died at the scene, police said. Blinn said there were no visible injuries or wounds to the man's body and detectives do not suspect foul play.
