George Clooney's warning on South Sudan
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Actor George Clooney has called for action against multinationals, western tycoons and brokers who have profited from South Sudan's violent instability, warning policy makers that "if you don't care" what happens in South Sudan its problems "will end up on your doorstep." The Sentry report -- titled "The Taking of South Sudan" -- accuses "individuals and corporations from across the world" of taking advantage of the country's weak rule of law and corruption to enlarge their profits. One of its case studies alleges that the country's largest multinational petroleum consortium, Dar Petroleum Operating Company, funded militias in the oil-producing regions of South Sudan. CNN has independently verified these findings about Dar Petroleum, and has found evidence detailing the environmental and health impact of oil contamination in the Paloch and Adar regions. CNPS, Petronas and Dar Petroleum have yet to respond to CNN's request for comment.

Each year, 4 million little girls or little boys are born in the U.S. That's 8 million little feet, 40 million tiny fingers and 40 million tiny toes, but the one number most parents don't think about: the age of the father when that baby is born. If the father is over the age of 45, the babies have a 14% higher chance of going into the NICU. Also, as you age, so does your sperm, so keep up a healthy lifestyle through exercise, eating right, low caffeine and minimal alcohol consumption. According to verywellfamily.com, some of the benefits of being an older father include financial security, being able to spend more time with your child, being able to share more life experience and having more patience.

At the movies: Top 10 in 2011
Have fun at the movies in 2012. Wiig plays Annie, a hapless maid of honor to her best friend, Lillian (Maya Rudolph). The film during its theatrical release was criticized by some for being too cynical, but truthfully, it's not cynical enough. "The Help" -- Writer-director Tate Taylor's adaptation of Kathryn Stockett's best seller Emma Stone features the best ensemble cast of the year. A brilliant ode to a bygone era, "The Artist" is by far the most unique -- and entertaining -- film of the year.
