Florida States revised 2020 football schedule with ten ACC games and one non-conference home game was released Thursday. The new schedule included all of the previous conference opponents, but ads Georgia Tech, North Carolina, and Virginia to the list of home games. We are excited for the opportunity to compete this fall, head coach Mike Norvell said in a release. I want to thank the ACC presidents, athletic directors and coaches for working together on a plan to move forward safely. Our team has been working hard this summer and we are all looking forward to beginning preseason camp this week.

The NCAA on Friday encouraged its 1,100 member colleges and universities to give athletes the day off from sports on election day, responding to grassroots movements of activism from players and coaches. UCLA followed with a similar announcement and Wisconsin said Friday it would also skip athletic activities on election day. The NCAA did not mandate a day off for athletes on election day. Instead, the NCAA encouraged schools to assist students in registering to vote and to give them a day off from athletics to vote. Though MAC Commissioner Jon Steinbrecher released a statement Friday saying the schools, conference and ESPN will work to move the game to a different date,The Division I college basketball season will start about a week after election day.

Gursimran Singh, a second-year computer science student at Georgia Tech, lives directly across from the offices of the Fortune 500 tech company NCR in Atlanta. Realizing this, Singh spelled out "HIRE ME" across the windows of his apartment using sticky notes. Later, another sticky note message appeared in the NCR windows asking, "DEV?," asking Singh whether he is a developer. Of course, Singh filled his windows with sticky notes as he spelled out his email. "I spent a lot on sticky notes, but it looked pretty cool," Singh said in a Georgia Tech news release.
