The Armada plan to build their stadium just north of the newly named VyStar Ballpark. Right now, it’s just vacant lots. But the plan is for it to have a soccer-specific stadium.

Even though the last Jacksonville Jaguars “Huddle Up” to get community input was held at the Jacksonville Zoo, no one was monkeying around with questions.

The Jaguars will do an online presentation Wednesday morning showing the plans and concepts for a stadium of the future.

By a unanimous 16-0 vote in the Jacksonville city council, the Jacksonville Armada have taken another step toward building a soccer stadium near the sports complex.

Pro soccer is scheduled to return to Northeast Florida in two years when the USL men's and women's teams begin playing. It will be the first time for a pro women's team in town. The club continued a listening tour at local breweries where they said they are closing in on a site for their new stadium.

There is another method of transportation being offered this weekend for those who want to avoid traffic when heading to the Georgia-Florida game on Saturday.
