Norโeaster brings heavy flooding to coastal neighborhoods
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. โ Flooding has been a reoccurring issue for many coastal areas due to strong northeasterly winds and extreme tides. Kayla Doucette, who lives in the Lincolnville neighborhood of St. Augustine, got into a kayak Monday and floated down her road. A News4Jax crew had to leave the area quickly to avoid getting a vehicle stuck. โAlways think twice and think of the what ifs.โNot far away, Logan Russom is an employee at the Bait Shack, located by the Vilano Bridge. โOver the last, like, three days itโs been very heavy winds and a little bit of rain,โ he said.
64-year-old man arrested after shooting in St. Augustine park
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - A 64-year-old man accused of shooting a man in a St. Augustine park Tuesday was taken into custody about an hour after the gunfire. Police said officers called to Eddie Vickers Park on Riberia Street in St. Augustine's Lincolnville neighborhood about 10:45 a.m. Tuesday found a man on the ground with a gunshot wound. The victim, who has not been named, told police Eubanks shot him. The man, who was shot in the back, was then flown to Orange Park Medical Center. Police urge people to stay indoors after person shot near St. Augustine park
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - Police are investigating a shooting Tuesday morning at a park on Riberia Street in St. Augustine's Lincolnville neighborhood. St. Augustine police tweeted at 11:09 a.m. that a shooting had just occurred. News4Jax learned it happened at Eddie Vickers Park and the victim was flown to Orange Park Medical Center.
