ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – A woman had a seizure while driving Monday morning in St. Augustine and hit a stone wall at Flagler College, the St. Augustine Police Department said.
The woman was driving west on Cathedral Place and made a right turn onto Cordova Avenue when the seizure hit, police said.
She crossed over the oncoming lane, over a curb and struck a wall at Flagler College, knocking off a piece of the ornate wall. She ended up striking another wall 15 feet away before coming to a stop, police said.
The woman, whose name was not released, was evaluated by paramedics and taken to Flagler Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Traffic was slowed during the investigation, but soon opened back to two full lanes of traffic, police said.
