If you like saving money, July is the month for you! With the Fourth of July, Amazon Prime Day, and back-to-school sales happening this month, Consumer Reports says now is the time to find sales on just about anything.

Americans increased their purchases at retailers last month – for clothing, dining out, sporting goods and other areas – in a sign that solid consumer spending is still powering a resilient U.S. economy.

Hundreds of thousands of deliveries will be made this week and next following Amazon Prime Day, which means porch pirates will be on the prowl trying to pilfer your packages.

If you’ve been shopping those Amazon Prime Deals or deals by other retailers, you are no doubt anxiously waiting for your packages to arrive. But you’re not the only one.

Did you miss those Memorial Day Sales? Don't worry, Consumer Reports says there are still a lot of June deals to cash in on. And, Amazon Prime Day has moved to this month, providing plenty of opportunities to save some big bucks in the coming weeks.

Board games are pretty popular among adults, who are, more and more, trading video games for game pieces. Honestly, how fun is it to invite friends over for a game night? Disturbed FriendsOn the box, it says: “This game should be banned.” Those who love this game will probably disagree. How predictable was it that a board game about memes would be made, considering how much people love them? Players have to fight off the game’s raiders and gain money by transporting goods, such as water and ammunition, across the game map.

The throwback garden houseWe’ll be honest, this isn’t the nicest one we’ve seen, but it is one of the more affordable tiny homes. They’re pretty funny, but we’re not totally sure they’re legit. While there isn’t a whole lot we can do as restrictions are put in place, there are a few measures we can take to support our favorite local businesses during these unsettling times. Buy gift cards from your favorite restaurant or boutique. We’re all pretty used to shopping online (Amazon Prime Day is basically a holiday at this point), so one way you can support a local business is shopping from your computer or cellphone. Not all boutiques or retail stores may have the option to offer online shopping, but if they do, it’s a great way to support a small business and practice social distancing. Not everyone is able to do this, but if your income won’t be affected by the coronavirus pandemic, consider a donation to a local business that could need it.
