People in that area saw hours of rain, with amounts up to an inch. Clay, Putnam and St. Johns counties were under a tornado warning for parts of Sunday afternoon as showers and stormes pushed through. There were some reports of downed trees near State Road 13A and some flooding on County Road 65. AdThe Weather Authority Alert Day ended shortly before 6 p.m., and showers will fade Sunday night.

Read full article: Firefighters battle massive blaze in downtown JacksonvilleJACKSONVILLE, Fla. โ Jacksonville Fire and Rescue crews battled a massive fire at an abandoned funeral home Downtown that took a little over an hour to get under control and involved the collapse of the roof and second floor, fire officials said. Flames could be seen pouring from the building at Main and Union streets as firefighters battled to douse the fire with several ladder trucks from above. Eventually, more than 45 apparatus and over 110 firefighters were on scene to battle the blaze, which they were able to get under control in a little over an hour. Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry tweeted video of the firefighters, asking for prayers as they battled the dangerous blaze. Riska said State, Union and Laura streets downtown were all closed as firefighters battled the flames, but that they would reopen as crews were released from the scene.

Iโve got nothing but time so Iโm just waiting it out.โDuring Mondayโs St. Augustine City Commission meeting, Public Works Director Reuben Franklin will provide an After Action Report regarding the flooding that occurred throughout the city as a result of the norโeaster earlier this month. As part of the discussion with commissioners, Franklin will make recommendations for community outreach and workshops to address recurring flooding in specific areas and neighborhoods. During the norโeaster, some streets in downtown St. Augustine had standing water during high tides. According to the National Weather Service Jacksonville, flooding also led to the closure of King Street from Ponce de Leon Boulevard to the area of Whitney Street.
