Here’s why you are going to want to start watching ‘Verzuz’ on Instagram Live right now
What started as some entertainment during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic has turned into one of the must-see Instagram Live shows. The premise is pretty simple: two R&B singers or rappers go head-to-head in a friendly battle on Instagram Live, and thousands of people get to sit back at home and enjoy. While the performances are so much fun to watch, what really makes “Verzuz” so entertaining is the chit chat between the stars, as well as the comment section on Instagram Live. It’s pretty surreal to see comments pop in from First Lady Michelle Obama, Oprah, Mariah Carey and Viola Davis, but they were watching the same Instagram Live stream as everyone else. We don’t know who will be up next for a “Verzuz” battle, but here’s to hoping we’ll get to witness another epic night.

That means most college students today have never known a day without an astronaut orbiting above them on the International Space Station. The International Space Station, or ISS, is just shy of the same length as an American football field and the largest spacecraft ever built. “I felt as an International Space Station, we needed to enter as an international crew.”AdCabana and Krikalev went into the ISS at the same time. “Sergei and I enter side by side, so there was no first person to enter the International Space Station,” Cabana said. Hosted by space reporter Emilee Speck, each episode is designed to inspire everyone, from the space curious to the space fanatics.

Going gray a little sooner than expected? Join the ‘grombre’ movement
Meet Martha Truslow Smith, a graphic designer from North Carolina who got her first gray hair at the age of 14, as she wrote once on social media. Smith started coloring her hair to hide what was happening, but instead of gaining assurance, she felt anxious and misrepresented. Yes, Smith decided to stop fighting nature: by embracing the gray, and letting it grow out, regardless of her age. She started an Instagram account to document her journey -- you can find Smith @grombre -- and, get ready for this, at last check, the page had about 193,000 followers. Going “grombre,” by the way, isn’t so much a trend as much as it is a movement.

You can fly: Get a bird’s eye view into a deserted Walt Disney World
But one Central Florida pilot was given the opportunity to fly over the happiest place on earth and give us the view we’ve been waiting on. Disney parks have a temporary flight restriction that limits pilots from flying within 3,000 feet of any of the parks. But with Disney parks in the U.S. closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, some pilots have been granted permission by local air traffic control to fly over the deserted theme parks. “I hope this will bring some joy to everyone currently in quarantine and missing the beloved parks.”Seeing an empty Disney World has become a common sight to most of us during quarantine. A quarantine quiz: How much have you been embracing this strange time in our lives?
But as the coronavirus pandemic continues sweeping the globe, we can’t be the only ones who have found ourselves doing a few out-of-the-ordinary routines and practices. Or conducting virtual happy hours or pulling out that Amazon Kindle from four Christmases ago. We’ll look back on this time someday and it’ll be a strange, beautiful thing we shared: all this “alone, together” business. So with that said, check all the boxes that correspond with activities you’ve done recently. Did you check more boxes than you imagined, or perhaps not as many as you thought you would?
The ‘Tiger King’ reunion special is out and it’s as bonkers as you’d hope
It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for: the rumored “Tiger King” reunion episode has officially dropped, and it’s just as wacky and bonkers as you’d hope it would be. Most fans would probably want to hear from the “Tiger King” himself, Joe Exotic, but as we all know, Exotic is currently in jail, so that wasn’t really a possibility. It also seems that everyone in the cast has moved on from Exotic and thinks that he is a terrible human being. McCale also asked the cast members what celebrity they’d want to play them in a movie version of “Tiger King,” and it was pretty funny to hear their answers. Hop on Netflix and soak in every minute of the bonus episode of “Tiger King.”

Here’s what you’ll do: Grab your delivery order off the porch, open the package or packages, wash your hands, plate your food, and then dispose of the containers. #Broomchallenge: Broom can stand on own any given day
A viral tweet suggests that NASA said Monday was the only day the “standing broom” trick would work, because of the earth’s gravitational pull. Okay so NASA said today was the only day a broom can stand up on its own because of the gravitational pull...I didn’t believe it at first but OMG! Right. But the truth is, you can make a broom stand upright today... and tomorrow and the day after... and the day after that.It has nothing to do with the earth's gravitational pull on a certain day. Which means, if you can get the bristles positioned like a tripod, your broom will stand upright any day of the year. NASA said due to the gravitational pull and the earth's rotation today a broomstick will stand on its own 🧹 #BroomStickChallenge pic.twitter.com/oR9Pl8loCO — ħigh_Yélloώ (@Mah_Lightbright) February 11, 2020
Toadly toxic toads are invading Florida yards: Here’s how to deal with those froggers
Cane toads ooze a milky, toxic substance called bufotoxin, which is deadly to cats and dogs if they bite, sniff or lick the giant toads. The toxin is also dangerous for humans, and people should wear gloves and protective gear when disposing of the toads, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Cane toads are native to South and Central America and first brought to Florida to manage pests in sugar cane fields in the 1930s, according to the University of Florida. Man rallies giant herd of cows with just a saxophone in hilarious video
Who knew a few jazzy lines from a saxophone could draw an entire herd of cows together so quickly? Rick Herrmann may have started playing the saxophone just seven months ago, but that didn't stop him from practicing in front of a crowd. I started playing the sax 7 months ago. He posted a video of himself on Instagram playing a saxophone next to a cow farm in Lafayette, Oregon. At the beginning of the video, Hermann says he's heard music can tame big animals, so he put the theory to test.
Swarm of bugs hits the windshield and it just might be the grossest thing you see all day
Most of us have probably been on a road trip and had to wash splattered bugs off the car's windshield, but we bet you've never seen this many bugs hit a windshield at once. A woman posted a video on Facebook of her driving in Michigan's Upper Peninsula when a swarm of bugs hit her windshield. There are so many bugs landing at once that it almost sounds like she's driving through a wild rain or hail storm. Of course, the internet can really deliver when it comes to gross content, but ... imagine if this were you driving. We just hope she's got lots of windshield wiper fluid handy.
Weed breathalyzer could soon test if you're high behind the wheel
It seems that law enforcement is becoming more and more aware of the issue. Its hypersensitive breathalyzer could be used to help law enforcement officials keep impaired drivers off the road. “We have had a great deal of interest in our breathalyzer from law enforcement and employers in the U.S., and across the globe,” Hound Labs says online. ... We have tested versions of the Hound marijuana breathalyzer with law enforcement as part of the development of the tool. Multiple law enforcement agencies are planning to use our breathalyzer when it becomes available.”
Ruth Bader Ginsburg is getting a Sam Adams beer brewed after her
If you love the smell of beer and the sweet smell of justice, then Sam Adams' new brew named after Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is right up your ally. The Boston-based brewery made a special beer dedicated to Notorious RBG (her nickname that millennials lovingly call her) that will only be available on March 29 at the Sam Adams brewery, reports Boston.com. Tickets to the special tasting event are $20. Hop-maker Yakima Chief brewed this special batch of beer, and $5 from every ticket sold to the beer tasting event will go back to the Pink Boots Society. We are just a tad jealous that we won't be able to taste this RBG-themed beer in person, but fingers crossed that Sam Adams bottles the beer so everyone can try it.
