The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Thursday they have placed two more players on the COVID-19 list, bringing the total number of players on the list to 27.

The Jaguars added three more players to the Reserve/COVID-19 list, including starting left tackle Cam Robinson, bringing the total to 22 players on the active roster and practice squad on the list.

On Monday, the Jaguars placed running back James Robinson on the injured reserve list after he suffered a torn left Achilles tendon in Sunday’s loss to the jets.

The main question that circles the franchise amidst its disastrous and turbulent season remains the development of Trevor Lawrence.

On the coaching front, there was an interesting aspect of the timing of Meyer’s firing.

After the most chaotic week in franchise history, the Jaguars went out and turned in an effort similar to many others this season. They scored against the Texans, but not nearly enough. They made in mildly entertaining late and had a shot to tie it in the final minutes, but wound up with a 30-16 loss on a rainy afternoon at TIAA Bank Field.

Urban Meyer spoke publicly for the first time to NFL.com following his firing by owner Shad Khan early Thursday after weeks of analysis that focused on Meyer’s mounting public blunders and even more missteps behind the scenes.
