Angie's Subs has been a staple of Jacksonville Beach for decades. As it continues to expand on its current location, the owner also has plans to go beyond its foundation in the beach community.

The new restaurant will be located in the former home of T-Dub’s in the same building as A+B Kitchen, Homespun Kitchen and Ragtime Tavern.

Angie's Subs owner Ed Malin had one day to collect as much as possible, saying he would be leaving Wednesday morning with four other trucks pulling trailers to head to an area outside Asheville.

The laid-back, counter-serve lunch spot known for its Peruvian-style sub sandwiches announced the news Thursday on its Facebook page.

“It would be a horror to pick any other names today,” the Facebook page from the restaurant said.

A Florida man proved his love for the Publix Chicken Tender Sub by tattooing it on his arm. He wanted to make sure this local delicacy stuck with him forever. A tattoo artist with Madame Firecracker Artwork and Custom Tattooing in Bradenton, FL, was lucky enough to make this masterpiece. Pub Subs are well-known for being delicious and reasonably priced.
