Scallop season opens for Pasco County July 17th
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. The 2020 recreational bay scallop season for Pasco County opens Friday, July 17 and will remain open through Sunday, July 26. Other 2020 Season DatesAdditional bay scallop season dates are as follows:St. Joseph Bay/Gulf County: Aug. 16 through Sept. 24. Franklin County through northwestern Taylor County (including Carrabelle, Lanark and St. Marks): July 1 through Sept. 24. The remaining portion of Taylor County and all of Dixie County (including Keaton Beach and the Steinhatchee area): June 15 through Labor Day. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. The 2020 recreational bay scallop season for Dixie County and a portion of Taylor County opens June 15 and will remain open through Labor Day (Sept. 7, 2020). Regular season limits are 2 gallons of whole bay scallops in the shell or 1 pint of bay scallop meat per person, with a maximum of 10 gallons of whole bay scallops in the shell or 1/2 gallon bay scallop meat per vessel (1/2 gallon = 4 pints). VyStar Credit Union completes acquisition of Citizens State Bank
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - VyStar Credit Union announced Monday that it has successfully acquired Citizens State Bank, a Florida state-chartered bank headquartered in Perry, Florida with $280 million in assets. VyStar first announced the move in January but it was expected to take until mid-2019 to complete the acquisition. The acquisition will bring VyStars total number of full-service branches to 55, and total assets to nearly $8.9 billion, serving more than 665,000 members. The credit union said all the operations integrations should be finished by mid-October. In addition, VyStar received approval from the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance and the FLOFR to expand into four Southeast Georgia counties: Camden, Charlton, Glynn and Ware.
