Man killed, woman critically injured in motorcycle crash with semi
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 39-year-old man died and a 42-year-old woman was critically injured when their motorcycle was hit by a tractor-trailer late Thursday night on Interstate 95 northbound at Bowden Road. Florida Highway Patrol said the motorcycle was traveling at a slow speed when the driver changed lanes from the center lane to the outside lane directly in front of the semi. The big rig hit the rear of the motorcycle, causing the bike to flip, throwing the riders onto the outside lane of the highway. The crash report shows both the man and woman on the motorcycle were wearing helmets. The northbound lanes of I-95 reopened just after 4 a.m.
