New Firehouse Sub and H20 For Heroes | River City Live

Firehouse Subs continually tweaks their menu and offers creative and tasty subs for special runs.  Their latest creation is a Chicken Gyro which has chicken (obviously), diced peppercinis, cucumbers, lettuce, tomato and you can’t have a Gyro without tzatziki!  You can, but in this case, it is definitely an exclamation point.  It is light enough for the summer but big enough to fill you...so you get the feeling of healthy and hearty.  They also added a cherry limeade...with NO sugar!  That is so outside the box for me, but I’m always open to try new things.

Vigil to be held for man found dead in Nocatee area

A vigil will be held Sunday for a 67-year-old man who was found dead Friday morning in Nocatee. The vigil for David Berlin was held from 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Timberland Forest Drive and Valley Ridge Boulevard. Berlin, an employee of Firehouse Subs, did not return home after going for a walk about 2 p.m. Thursday in the Timberland Ridge subdivision in the Nocatee area. But he really cared about others more than he did himself, and as I said earlier, it shows and all this love and support,” said Michael Berlin. The family said they are thankful for the volunteers, community, police and firefighters who took part in the search.

America has a new favorite fast food restaurant -- and it doesn't even involve burgers

Well, according to data from Market Watch, cited in a Food and Wine report from earlier this week, its -- drum roll, please! -- Chick-fil-A. Market Force polls more than 7,600 people, and looks at their satisfaction and whether theyd recommend a restaurant to someone else. And then last years No 1, Pizza Ranch, didnt even earn enough votes to qualify for this years poll, Food and Wine points out. As for McDonalds, it actually came in last place -- but as the Food and Wine article points out, the burger continues to top every single restaurant on the entire list in sales.
