The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for 2-year-old Rieva Scarlett, who was last seen on July 17 near the intersection of Blanding Boulevard and Wilson Boulevard.

A scary video shows the moment a driver who appeared to be fleeing from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office on Thursday slammed into multiple vehicles at a Westside intersection.

A crash with injuries shut down all lanes of Interstate 295 on Sunday evening.

Another new fire station is coming to Jacksonville — this one on the Westside.

A driver and passenger were killed early Friday morning when their car was struck by a pickup truck driving the wrong way on Wilson Boulevard, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.

One person was killed in a vehicle that rolled over the guardrail and struck a pole early Sunday morning on Interstate 295 southbound just past the Wilson Boulevard exit.

Memorial Park Road was closed at I-295 as well. Drivers were diverted to take Commonwealth Avenue to get to I-10 and then exit to I-295 to continue North. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – One man is dead and another was hospitalized after a shooting Friday night that Jacksonville police said stemmed from an argument at an intersection on the Westside. He said that at about 8:30 p.m., a patrol officer made contact with the black car near Wilson Boulevard and I-295. “We are possibly looking for an outstanding white vehicle. “All we do know is that the black car was shot,” he said. “We do not know, we cannot say that there was anybody inside the car shooting back.”The victims in the shooting were not identified.

Troopers said a disabled vehicle was in the center lane of the interstate around 2 a.m. The passenger of the disabled car and the good Samaritan both died at the scene, according to the accident report. Both the driver of the disabled vehicle that was being pushed and the driver of the car that struck it, sustained minor injuries. FHP traffic homicide is continuing to investigate the crash. News4Jax crime and safety expert Ken Jefferson urged caution when your car breaks down on the highway or you spot a disabled vehicle.

All lanes of Interstate 295 northbound near Wilson Boulevard are closed after a crash involving a semi and at least one car were in a crash Tuesday morning that injured three people. A Flordia Department of Transportation camera shows the big rig crashed into and damaging the median barrier, but southbound traffic does not appear to be affected. Northbound traffic is at a standstill as the ramp to Wilson, where traffic is being diverted, is not moving. Earlier Tuesday, a police cruiser was involved in a crash on I-295 at Normany, the next exit to the south. One person was injured in that crash, but it was not clear if it was the officer.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. Jacksonville Sheriffs Officers arrived at the WaWa gas station on Wilson Boulevard on Jacksonvilles Westside just after 11:30 Saturday night, in response to a reported shooting. Officers found who appeared to be a teenage girl suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Police say that primary investigation uncovered that there was an altercation of some kind inside the convenience store. The arguing parties proceeded into the parking lot, where after sometime, one of the individuals involved fired a handgun, striking the victim. Police say they believe that all of the individuals involved in the incident have been detained.

Police said someone in the area noticed the body and called 911 about 6:30 p.m. The victim was described as a white woman and she may have been dead a day or two when she was found.
