Ron DeSantis, providing another opportunity to people who weren't able to submit their voter registrations online before Monday night's deadline. “We’re disappointed that so many Floridians were disenfranchised because of the state’s failure to upkeep the online voter registration system,” Cabrera said. SWITZERLAND, Fla. Friends are sharing their support and remembering the life of a St. Johns County tractor driver killed in a tragic crash Monday with a milk truck. Friends have identified the driver as 39-year-old Lee Bailey from the Switzerland area of St. Johns County. Bailey was driving his tractor slowly along Race Track Road when, according to investigators, a truck owned by Borden Dairy struck him from behind. That collision caused the tractor to overturn and the dairy truck careened into the opposite lanes, snapping a tree that partially crushed the trucks cab. Another friend, Michael Dukes, said Bailey was working to clear land and grade lots and was a good tractor operator.

A year ago, right after the rivalry game ended between Lee and Raines high schools, police said a gang shooting left one person dead and two people hurt. This year, three games that attract big crowds are now on Saturdays including, Sandalwood versus Fletcher, Raines versus Lee, and of course Raines versus Ribault in the Northwest Classic. Many attending Saturday's game say they appreciate the beefed-up security. An emphasis on security was placed on all Duval County high school games this year.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Duval County Public Schools has been improving game safety and security following the triple shooting that happened after a game at Raines High School in 2018. The school district said the shooting happened despite heavy security from Jacksonville and school police. There were extra security officers and police officers stationed throughout the game. Parker (3-2, 2-0) at White (3-3, 1-1), 6 p.m.*: This is a much different position for the Braves to be in at this point of the season. They've won three straight entering Week 8, including an OT victory over Atlantic Coast and a 20-13 win at Baker County in that stretch.
