As the age range of people eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine expands in the state of Georgia, a hospital has announced it will be offering Pfizer vaccines at its Brunswick and Kingsland vaccine clinics. It said that starting Thursday, it’ll begin offering the vaccine for adults age 16 and older. The locations for vaccines include the Linda S. Pinson Conference Center at 2415 Parkwood Drive in Brunswick. The other location is the Camden Community Recreation Center at 1050 Wildcat Drive in Kingsland, which will offer vaccines Monday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. People receiving the vaccine must provide a form of identification and should wear a shirt that provides access to their upper arm.

BRUNSWICK, Ga. – A 33-year-old man was shot and killed late Saturday afternoon after he fired shots at officers while running from Brunswick police, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. State investigators said the incident began about 5 p.m. when a Brunswick officer patrolling downtown saw a vehicle speeding. The GBI said as one officer ran after the man, the suspect fired several shots in the direction of a second officer in the area of Newcastle and Bay streets. That officer, Lt. Donald Babbin, returned fire, hitting the man, later identified as Charles Eric Moses Jr, of Brunswick. It was, like, ‘Pow, pow, pow, pow,’” Neal said.

The Department of Public Health in Georgia reported 505 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in Glynn County on Friday -- an increase of about 200 cases in the county since Monday. Five days ago, the state reported a total of 308 cases in Glynn. For comparison, about 30 days ago, there were a total of 101 reported cases in Glynn County, a county with a population of just over 86,000. Were experiencing a significant increase in the number of people wanting to be tested for the virus, said Adam Sanchez with the Glynn County Health Department. The operation now turns to righting the boat and getting it out of the sound -- no small task, considering it's a 71,000-ton cargo vessel capable of carrying thousands of automobiles. A salvage team began tapping on the overturned cargo ship Sunday morning. Rescuers were dropped off via helicopter and drilled a small hole in the ship to communicate with the crew members, Coast Guard Lt. j.g.
