Sheriff Gator DeLoach announced Friday the identity of a victim in a 43-year-old cold case murder. William Irving Monroe III died from a gunshot wound to the neck a few weeks before his partial buried body was discovered on December 4, 1980. A deputy on routine patrol found the body in the area of Sisco Road and Broward Lake Road in Pamona Park.

KEY WEST, Fla. Officials have solved the killing of a teenager in the Florida Keys who was raped and strangled with her bikini top on Valentines Day 1991. Officials used DNA technology to identify both the victim and the suspect. DNA obtained from the 1991 crime scene in the Florida Keys matched DNA from Bradley's own homicide scene in April 1992. The case became known as the Valentine Jane Doe Homicide. Kirkum was seen hitchhiking out of Key West that evening. Sheriffs officials said Kirkum was never reported missing, and both her parents are now dead.
