Surveillance images in video shared with News4Jax appear to show a man attempting to break into a car in a parking lot along Spring Park Road. A separate home security video recorded in the Miramar area over the weekend appears to show two men rummaging through a woman's BMW. She pulled video from her camera that showed the two men going into her car. In the Spring Park video, the man appears to have some type of cloth covering his hand as he attempts to open car doors.

Jacksonville police arrest man in Spring Park slaying
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Police have arrested 49-year-old Carlos Roberto Ramos Carias in a shooting death early Saturday morning at a Spring Park home. Officers called to a burglary-in-progress call on Drum Street about 2:20 a.m. found a man with a knife in his hand dead of a gunshot wound. Jacksonville Sheriff's Office detectives said the victim, who has not been named, was giving two women a ride home from a night club. In their attempt to get the phone back, police say the women and the victim confronted Carias. A witness said the victim didn't have a knife in his hand initially, but say that Carias planted it on the victim.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A man was shot and killed and another person was detained by police after an attempted burglary early Saturday morning at a Spring Park home, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said. Officers responding to a burglary-in-progress call on Drum Street at 2:20 a.m. found one man dead at the scene from a gunshot wound. Another person was detained for questioning, Sgt. Homicide detectives said there are no outstanding suspects but wouldn't say if the person shot was an intruder or a homeowner.
