BAKER COUNTY, Fla. - Two people were arrested after a SWAT team and detectives with the Baker County Sheriff's Office raided a suspected drug house near a preschool and an elementary school in the Macclenny area, authorities said. Deputies pointed out that the preschool also sits in front of Macclenny Elementary School on County Road 23B. The Sheriff's Office noted that detectives previously seized 43 grams of methamphetamine and arrested a dealer out of the same house in September. According to the Sheriff's Office, Kelly Prowant, 36, was also arrested at the scene after methamphetamine and drug equipment was found in the bedroom that she claimed she had recently been living in. The Sheriff's Office said residents can anonymously report suspicious and potentially drug-related activity by calling 904-259-9218 or emailing narcotics@bakerso.com.

The Baker County Sheriff's Office is asking the community for help to find a missing man who is believed to be endangered. Harold Alan Hare, 38, was reported missing Oct. 13. He was last seen by his daughter on Sept. 30 after he left her home in Macclenny on foot. Harold suffers from several health issues that may require medical attention, and he was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, black shorts and a camouflage hat that displayed the number "88" on the front. Anyone who has been in contact with Harold or has any information about his potential whereabouts is asked to call the Baker County Sheriff's Office at 904-259-2861.

Deputies said all the suspects are charged with crimes related to the illegal sale or trafficking of methamphetamine. Narcotics detectives recovered several ounces of meth during the arrests, and all the accused remain in custody at the Baker County Detention Center. BAKER COUNTY, Fla. - A man was arrested Monday after meth and ecstasy was discovered during a traffic stop, the Baker County Sheriff's Office said. Roger Scott Woods, 46, of Glen St. Mary, is charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of probation. Since an arrest warrant charging Woods with violating the terms of his probation had been previously issued, according to the Sheriff's Office, narcotics detective took a "special interest in apprehending him" during the traffic stop Monday afternoon. The Sheriff's Office noted that Woods was sentenced Aug. 27 to five years of drug offender probation. During the traffic stop, detectives said they located 10.5 grams of methamphetamine, several ecstasy pills and numerous plastic baggies, which were hidden inside a fake WD-40 can.

The Baker County Sheriff's Office responded about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday to a home near Oc Horne Road after receiving a 911 call regarding an unresponsive toddler locked inside a vehicle that was not running. She then discovered that the front door of their home was open and that's when the mother found the toddler inside the locked car, where some of his toys had been kept. BAKER COUNTY, Fla. - A teenager was arrested after a BMW was stolen from a church parking lot and later involved in a hit-and-run crash, according to the Baker County Sheriff's Office. Brenton Davis, 18, was arrested for grand theft, burglary and petit theft, the Sheriff's Office said. On Sunday afternoon, Davis, who was driving the BMW, was involved in a hit-and-run crash near the intersection of State Road 121 South and Mud Lake Road, the Sheriff's Office said. They were able to track the BMW using GPS, and it was later found abandoned in Sanderson. Footprints were seen outside the BMW, according to the Sheriff's Office, and police K-9s were used to track Davis.

Brad Curtis Stewart, 23, of Sanderson, was being held in the Baker County jail on $250,000 as of Wednesday. On June 11, 2016, according to the Sheriff's Office, two masked people went into the Walgreens on South Sixth Street and demanded money from the store clerk. Over the last month, detectives with the Sheriff's Office began to review the previously closed case and examine the evidence. Rafiel Morgan, 40, is charged with child abuse, battery and disorderly conduct. Deputies were called Sunday night to the McDonald's on Sixth Street, just north of Interstate 10, after receiving a report of a fight. There was an argument between a customer and employees, during which Morgan attacked several customers, including a 15-year-old boy who received serious facial injuries, according to deputies. Morgan drove off before deputies arrived, but was taken into custody Monday after a warrant was issued for his arrest, the Sheriff's Office said.

BAKER COUNTY, Fla. – A corrections officer is accused of having sex with a female inmate, according to the Baker County Sheriff's Office. Tarrece Givens, 27, was arrested Monday on a charge of sexual battery on a person over 12 years of age by a correctional officer. Givens began employment with the Sheriff's Office Detention Center on Sept. 30, 2011. The complaint alleges that he was involved in the performance of a sex act with a female inmate housed at the Baker County Detention Center while on duty Jan. 29. Investigators said there are no indications or allegations that force was used, and therefore no injuries have been reported.
