The Jacksonville community is invited to speak Tuesday night at the City Council meeting in support of or opposition to a proposal to relocate the Jacksonville Fairgrounds from its current location to the Westside on Normandy Boulevard.

Dual free food events run out after incredible turnout
There were two drive-thru events: one at the Jax Fairground and another at the Jessie Ball DuPont Center. FarmShare plans to hold food giveaways every Tuesday and Thursday. Itโs taking one less stress off of helping provide families with food that they need for Thanksgiving,โ Johnson said. Look for more food giveaways on FarmShareโs distribution schedule. Jacksonville fair adds extra day of setup to ensure safety
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Crews have been setting up since Sunday for the Greater Jacksonville Agriculture Fair. During the final weekend of the 2018 Jacksonville fair, the Sky Flyer ride malfunctioned just as it started to operate with riders on board. Lawsuits have been filed, and this year, fair staff said they are taking extra precautions, including adding an extra day of setup to make sure riders will be safe. In addition to ride setup and inspections, workers have been gearing up for a number of events and concerts that will begin Thursday evening. Jacksonville Agricultural Fair offers $25 mega pass online
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair is offering a Mega Pass wristband for $25 for purchase exclusively online through Nov. 6. The pass, available at JacksonvilleFair.com, individual admission and unlimited mechanical rides for one-day use during the Fair, Nov. 7 through Nov. 17. at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds located in the Sports and Entertainment District. Half-price admission tickets are also available for advance purchase online through November 6. The $20 wristband for unlimited mechanical rides will be in effect Mondays through Thursdays. The $25 Ride Fanatic Wristband for unlimited mechanical rides will be in effect Fridays through Sundays.
Wrestling fan convention slams into Jacksonville Fairgrounds
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Northeast Florida's first professional wrestling fan convention slammed into the Jacksonville Fairgrounds on Saturday. River City Wrestling Con featured live wrestling matches, as well as an assortment of vendors and artists. Theres just something about wrestling thats magic, especially with our fans, wrestling personality Jimmy Hart said. I think its so great, said Blank, who goes by the ring name Kelly Kelly. I mean, wrestling has been a big part of this community as far as I can remember, so its nice just to have this additional exposure for once, Morga said.
