While there will be heavy police presence around TIAA Bank Field and inside RV city now through Saturday night for the Georgia-Florida game, officials are encouraging those attending the game and tailgating parties to not let their guard down when they venture away.

The City of Jacksonville held a news conference on Tuesday ahead of the Georgia-Florida game at TIAA Bank Field on Saturday.

The Ultimate Tailgate Party — also known as the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party — returns Tuesday to Jacksonville.

The competition goes beyond the football field on Florida-Georgia weekend. Bragging rights are up for grabs in tailgating and at RV City.

As of now, Jacksonville’s most attended game will have about 20% to 25% capacity, much like Jaguars games. Gators and Bulldogs will each get about half the tickets to sell, with some going to sponsors and the city. There will be no RV City, no Bold City Bash, no concerts before the game, and tailgating in public lots is discouraged, according to city leaders. Three weeks before kickoff, leaders from the city and both schools are still finalizing plans and have not released many more details about gameday operations.

Weekend festivities for Duuuval's Bold City Bash will begin Friday, Nov. 1, with the Florida-Georgia Hall of Fame Induction ceremony and luncheon presented by Miller Electric Company.
