According to the National Weather Service, the tornado hit State Road 47 around 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Suspected tornado flips small plane, leaves trail of damage in Georgia
ADEL, Ga. – Severe weather responsible for least seven deaths in Oklahoma, Texas and Louisiana, blew through Southeast Georgia on Thursday, leaving a trail of “heavy damage.”A suspected tornado swept through the city of Adel in Cook County, Georgia, tearing off roofs and flipping at least one car and a small plane. Photos submitted to WALB-TV show trees snapped in half and metal roofing material draped over some utility lines still standing. At least one suspected tornado touched down Thursday evening north of Tallahassee near Interstate 10, according weather officials. Twitter users were posting photos of downed trees in the area, and authorities warned people to stay away from downed power lines. Damage was caused by a combination of straight-line winds and the tornado, said Wright Dobbs, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service's Tallahassee, Florida, office.

4 dead, several injured across South in outbreak of twisters
National Weather Service teams confirmed at least 18 tornado paths: nine in Mississippi, six in Alabama and three in Louisiana. Three people were injured, at least one of them seriously, by an apparent tornado that hit Amite County, Mississippi, Monday afternoon, county emergency director Grant McCurley said. Four counties eastward, seven women received minor injuries when their group home in Sumrall, Mississippi was heavily damaged, officials said. In Guntown, Mississippi, near Tupelo and about 260 miles (420 kilometers) north-northeast of Amite County, a tornado destroyed a church and damaged dozens of homes. It was among at least 60 to 75 homes damaged in Lee County, with assessments still going on, officials said.

St. Johns County business picks up pieces after severe storm
ELKTON, Fla. – A powerful storm that swept through Northeast Florida before dawn Saturday left residents and business owners to spend the weekend cleaning up. The National Weather Service said an EF-1 tornado ripped through Flagler County for nearly 20 miles, and parts of Putnam and St. Johns counties were affected by the severe storm. The storm left a wake of damage in Elkton just after 5 a.m. along County Road 305 off State Road 207 near FL Custom Kitchen and Bath. Laura Orlowski, who owns the business, said there used to be two massive metal doors that would slide together in the front of the building, but after the storm ripped through, the doors blew off. “Well we seen parts flying through the air,” Shelandoah Willis said.
Tornado damages at least 40 homes in Yulee
YULEE, Fla. – The EF-1 tornado with winds between 90-100 mph that tore through Nassau County on Thursday afternoon ripped down hundreds of trees and damaged at least 40 homes, according to emergency management officials. The damage from the storm included an overturned tractor-trailer that appeared to have damaged vehicles on State Road 200 in Yulee, just west of Chester Road. Those winds were powerful enough to flip several trailers onto their sides at RDL Logistics, a trucking company in Nassau County.
