Jaguars fans have good reason to vote ex-player Ngakoue to Pro Bowl
Well, not necessarily root for Ngakoue, but at least vote for him to make the Pro Bowl. Part of the trade parameters were that the fifth-round selection could become a fourth-round pick if Ngakoue makes the Pro Bowl. If Ngakoue makes the Pro Bowl and his team wins the Super Bowl, that pick then jumps to a third-round selection. Anuglymanโs headline reads: โJags fan asking for your help in screwing over the Vikings by voting Ngakoue to the Pro Bowl. If Ngakoue makes the Pro Bowl, the 5th the Vikings gave us, jumps up to a 4th (and potentially a third if he makes the probowl and the Ravens win the SB).โJaguars fans can do their part by casting a Pro Bowl vote here.
Vikings trade ex-Jaguars DE Ngakoue after 6 games
Former Jaguars defensive end Yannick Ngakoue, whom the team traded to the Vikings in late August for second- and fifth-round draft picks, is on the move once again. According to ESPNโs Adam Schefter, Minnesota traded Ngakoue to the Ravens on Thursday morning for two draft picks, third- and fifth-round selections, just six games into his tenure. The fifth-round pick is in 2022 and can elevate to a fourth-round selection if Ngakoue makes the Pro Bowl, according to Sports Illustrated. Minnesota essentially rented Ngakoue for six games and a significantly worse draft position. Ngakoue was off to a good start in Minnesota, recording five sacks in six games and forcing two fumbles.

Raines uses defense to crush Ribault in Northwest Classic
Raines and Ribault met in the 51st Northwest Classic on Saturday at Raines. The Vikings used six interceptions, including three by Kyree Hammond, to rout rival Ribault 44-20 in the 51st Northwest Classic on a picture-perfect afternoon at the Graveyard. A muffed kickoff pinned Ribault back at its own 3 on the next drive and Christian McNair intercepted Santana Jackson and walked into the end zone. A bad snap on a punt rolled out of the end zone and led to a safety. And Raines recovered a muffed punt by Ribault that set up a touchdown.
Vrabel says Titans hope NFL allows them to return Wednesday
โAnd then we'll kind of see where we're at with the league and hopeful to return and get back in the building,โ Vrabel said. The NFL and its players union had people in Nashville meeting with the Titans to review how the team handled the outbreak and checking protocols. The Titansโ outbreak reached 20 cases on Sunday, the teamโs sixth straight day of at least one positive, with 18 returned since Sept. 29. โ Iโm not even thinking about that.โThe Titans' outbreak also affected the Baltimore Ravens, who now will have a bye Week 7 instead of playing Pittsburgh. The NFL and the players union agreed Oct. 2 to continue daily testing, and they both agreed to ramp up health and safety procedures in the wake of the Titans' outbreak.

Week 7 Snaps: Classic finishes headline a good week of football
JACKSONVILLE, FLA - What a great week of football Week 7 turned out to be. It's a district game this season. They've been outplayed in just two games, Keystone Heights in Week 1 and Yulee in Week 2. I've touched on the growth of Parker in Snaps quite a bit this season and it warrants mentioning again. Parker has a tricky district game against an up-and-down White High in Week 8.

A Viking bridge that took three years to build in Denmark is finally done. The bridge, which is now considered to be the world's longest Viking bridge, was built using the tools and methods that Vikings would have used. Pressure every year to carry on the Raines tradition
Theres pressure every year. The name across the front of the jersey Raines makes it that way. But after back-to-back state championships, Treyvon Hobbs said that the Vikings will use that pressure in a positive way and look to do the unthinkable and win three consecutive state titles.
Turning point for Raines football team came in 2013
Deran Wiley has back-to-back state championships at Raines and will go down as one of the most successful football coaches in area history. But before the Vikings found their rhythm, Wiley had to hit an emotional low as a coach. That came in 2013, a season that took such a toll on the young coach that Wiley didn't know if he wanted to continue. He did and the rest, as the cliche goes, is history.
