The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for a missing and endangered adult last seen driving in the Powers Avenue and University Boulevard area.

A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing 72-year-old man in Fernandina Beach.

A Silver Alert was issued Tuesday for a missing woman, who the Clay County Sheriff’s Office says is believed to be endangered.

The Purple Alert will operate like an Amber or Silver Alert. It requires the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to work with agencies to broadcast information to the public about a missing adult.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla – A missing man last seen Tuesday night has been found safe, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said. According to a news release, the man headed home around 7:30 p.m. but never arrived. The man is diagnosed with diabetes and family members were concerned he might not have his medication with him. Police thanked the community for sharing the man’s photo and helping to get him home.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Gainesville police located an endangered man who they said went missing about 11 a.m. Saturday morning when he left his home in Orange Park to run a short errand. A Silver Alert was then issued for Alvin Lee Jonte when he did not return home, according to the Gainesville Police Department. In a post on twitter, GPD said the Echols County Sheriff’s Office found Jonte near Statenville, GA, Sunday morning. Our missing person Mr Jonte was located in Statenville, GA, by Echols County Sheriff’s Office this morning. Jonte was described as being 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing 135 pounds and having hazel eyes and gray hair.

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – The Clay County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday canceled a Silver Alert for 79-year-old Jake Tommy Rael after he was located. The Sheriff’s Office made the announcement on its social media pages shortly after 5 p.m.

GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. – A Silver Alert issued for a Green Cove Springs couple was canceled Tuesday after they were found, the Clay County Sheriff's Office announced. Arthur Lee Rainer, 94, and Janet Rainer, 84, were reormissing, deputies said. Mr. Rainer has signs of dementia. Mrs. Rainer suffers from Alzheimer’s. Deputies later said the couple was back home in Green Cove Springs.

PALM COAST, Fla. – A Palm Coast man diagnosed with dementia and his wife were found safe in Tallahassee after a Silver Alert was issued Monday morning, the Flagler County Sheriff's Office said. Bernard C. Raffestin, 81, and his wife Anna, 90, were reported missing after last being seen Saturday. The Tallahassee Police Department notified family members that the couple was safe and a nephew who lives in Tallahassee went to go pick them up. "I'm extremely glad this couple has been found safely," Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly said. "This is a prime example of our community and state working together to protect our elderly residents.
