A man was shot in the hand Saturday morning during a robbery at a home on College Circle East in the College Gardens neighborhood, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

A 67-year-old woman was robbed Friday afternoon in the parking lot of the Fresh Market on A1A in Ponte Vedra Beach, the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said.

Before those officers arrived, police were notified that a man suffering from a gunshot wound had been transported to a nearby hospital. The Sheriffs Office said that man was being treated for life-threatening injuries. The Sheriffs Office said it believes the shooting stemmed from an attempted robbery. Neither was harmed, according to the Sheriffs Office.

JACKSONVILLE. Fla. – Officers responding to a silent alarm at 5 a.m. Saturday at the Speedway gas station on Lem Turner Road, three blocks north of I-95, found a man shot, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. According to police, two men ambushed the store’s clerk while he was opening the store. They forced the clerk to enter the building, then shot the worker during the robbery. Across the street at Midas, store manager Darrell Vogler, said he and his employees go to the gas station often.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A bystander, who came to help a security guard fend off would-be robbers, is in the hospital. Police said multiple people witnessed the attempted robbery at the Sahara Liquor store on Beach Blvd. It happened just before midnight when two men entered the business and attempted to steal liquor, according to JSO. It’s not yet clear what transpired beyond that, but when police arrived on scene two suspects were being held by a security guard and employees of the liquor store. Police said they treated the bystander turned victim for serious injuries to his neck and head and took him to the hospital.

GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. – At approximately 6 p.m., multiple viewers tipped off News4Jax to a heavy police presence at a gas station in Green Cove Springs right across from Clay High School. The Clay County Sheriff’s Office confirmed deputies were investigating a robbery at the Circle K gas station on County Road 16A Saturday night. Officials have not released any suspect details. Miley Cyrus' L.A. home burglarized Police are investigating a robbery at the Los Angeles home of singer/actress Miley Cyrus. Burglars scaled the fence of her home on Friday, making off with a $100,000 Maserati, as well as some jewelry. Cyrus was not at home at the time of the robbery. KCAL-TV's Bobby Kaple reports.
