JACKSONVILLE, Fla. โ The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has arrested the man credited with filming the shooting of Ahmaud Arbery, the 25-year-old man whose death has sparked unrest after video of his killing surfaced this month. GBI agents are still inside William Roddy Bryanโs home after his arrest for felony murder. McMichael said another man, identified only as โRoddyโ tried to โblock (Arbery) which was unsuccessful,โ the report said. It shows one man standing in the bed of the truck while another is positioned near the driverโs side door. Arbery can be seen punching a man holding what appears to be a shotgun, who fires a third shot.

BRUNSWICK, Ga. The attorney for the man who recorded video of the shooting death of Ahmaud Arbery said his client took a lie detector test. Late Monday evening, attorney Kevin Gough held a news conference at the Glynn County Courthouse to disclose pertinent information about his client, William Roddie Bryan. Contrary to speculation, the polygraph examination confirms that on Feb. 23 2020, the day of the shooting, William 'Roddie Bryan did not have any conversation with either Gregory or Travis McMichael prior to the shooting. Nor did William Roddie Bryan have any conversation with anyone else that day prior to the shooting about criminal activity in the neighborhood, Gough said. The video was recorded by Bryan, who shared it with police once they arrived at the scene.
Dismissed public defender to go on hunger strike
BRUNSWICK, Ga. โ One day after being dismissed from his job, a Brunswick public defender said heโs going on a hunger strike to bring attention to corruption in his judicial circuit. Standing in front of his Brunswick law office, Gough had a strong message for the man who dismissed him as public defender. For those who donโt know, Gough said his hunger strike will be proof. The Georgia Public Defender Council said itโs not making a comment. He expects the Public Defender Council to take up the issue on May 13.
