Reward increases for information about deadly hit-and-run involving teen on his way to take ACT
The reward for information about a hit-and-run crash near Murray Hill that left a Riverside High student dead earlier this month has increased to $9,500, the Jacksonville Sheriffโs Office announced Wednesday.
Man found dead along Collins Road; traffic homicide called
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. โ Police called about someone possibly injured on the side of Collins Road at 2:20 a.m. Sunday found a man dead. The Jacksonville Sheriffโs Office said it looks like he may have been struck by a car on Collins near Pondue Lane, west of Roosevelt Boulevard. Traffic homicide detectives are investigating. JSO finds SUV involved in hit-and-run that killed local pastor
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. โ Investigators have found the vehicle that was involved in a hit-and-run that killed a local pastor on the Westside, the Jacksonville Sheriffโs Office announced Saturday morning. A day after asking the public to keep an eye out for a 1999 or 2000 light colored Mitsubishi Montero Sport SUV with moderate front-end damage, the Sheriffโs Office said the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run had been found. The Sheriffโs Office released a photo Friday of a vehicle similar to the one involved in the crash. Brown had a hand in all aspects of the church serving in the youth ministry, marriage ministry, administration and finance department.
2 hospitalized after shooting on Oliver Street
Two people were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following a shooting in the 5000 block of Oliver Street on Sunday. The incident happened around 4 p.m. Anyone with any information on the shooting is asked to call Crimestoppers at 904-398-3775.
Attempted burglary leaves one man dead in Spring Park
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - One man was shot and killed and a second detained by police after an attempted burglary early Saturday morning at a Spring Park home, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said. Officers responding to a burglary-in-progress call on Drum Street at 2:20 a.m. found one man dead at the scene from a gunshot wound. Another person was detained for questioning, Sgt. Homicide detectives said there were no outstanding suspects but wouldn't say if the person shot was an intruder or a homeowner.
