JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The family of 22-year-old Chelsey Turner gathered to remember her life on Tuesday after she was killed in a car crash early Sunday morning on Roosevelt Boulevard. Turner’s mother, Michelle Green, is so proud of her daughter’s life and is asking for both support to comfort the family and help to find out exactly what happened. “It’s hard to bury your daughter,” Green said. Turner was one of two people killed in Sunday’s crash in which arriving rescue crews appeared to have cut into one of the cars involved. GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. – An employee of the Clay County Sheriff’s Office has been arrested on charges including possession of child pornography, according to a news release from the Green Cove Springs Police Department. Additionally, Monica Mae Green, 45, is facing charges of transmission of material harmful to a minor and tampering with physical evidence. According to police, Green has been employed with the Sheriff’s Office in its communications center since January 2015 and she was on administrative leave at the time of her arrest. The Police Department said it began investigating when a friend of Green informed her supervisors of an inappropriate relationship between Green and a 17-year-old boy. None of those statements were included in the news release.

A group of Duval County parents and educators are calling out Governor Ron DeSantis for his comments over the weekend that having kids go back to schools is the right move. During a press conference, DeSantis said its a good idea and children will be better off in school. PALATKA, Fla. – An 18-year-old man was killed and a 20-year-old woman was critically injured Sunday in a single-vehicle crash south of Palatka. According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, Rhett Timothy McCool of Palatka was driving a Chevrolet Silverado north on Browns Landing Road shortly before 7 p.m. when, for reasons unknown to investigators, the truck veered off the road and hit a tree. The impact caused McCool and passenger Brittney Kristen Green to be thrown from the truck, FHP said. McCool, 18, was pronounced dead at the scene and Green, 20, was taken to UF Health in Gainesville with critical injuries. Neither passenger was wearing a seatbelt, according to the FHP report.

The vigilantes record their encounters with the alleged predators, and the footage is then posted online to shame the men. In Arizona, one alleged predator thought he was meeting a 13-year-old girl for sex. The alleged predator, Mathew Sanchez, later turned himself in and was sentenced to five years in prison. [The amateurs] dont know the rule of law, they dont know the rule of evidence, they dont know what a prosecutor needs and it is very dangerous," said Inside Edition security expert Steve Kardian.

There wasnt a lot of support that he had outside of jail during that time. They even volunteered to help Green move in and decorate his home with donated furniture when Green couldnt take time off work to do it himself. Green said his biggest advice to young adults in his shoes is, Never be scared to ask for help.
