ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Including Friday, the last three days have marked the three highest single-day increases of COVID-19 cases reported in St. Johns County. The Nation’s Oldest City is keeping the tradition alive despite the rising COVID-19 cases in the county. On Wednesday, the county set a new record of 155 new reported cases. FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) employees raised $10,420.00 for this year’s Christmas with a Deputy event. 165 Flagler children were selected to participate in the event. The event focuses on providing gifts for Flagler County children who otherwise might not receive any. In addition to FCSO deputies, officers from the Florida Highway Patrol, the Bunnell Police Department, the Flagler Beach Police Department, and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission will participate and ensure that all gifts arrive before Christmas. “I am proud of our employees who donate their time and money to make this event possible for the children of Flagler County.”The program is made possible by donations received from the community and the members of the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.

GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. – Green Cove Springs is canceling its' traditional fall and winter events. The city of Green Cove Springs says this decision to cancel wasn’t made lightly. We couldn’t do fundraisers because those things weren’t open,” says Kimberly Thomas, Green Cove Springs Event Coordinator. The City of Green Cove Springs posted an announcement to its Facebook Tuesday, stating the annual Trunk or Treat, Christmas on Walnut Street, and Christmas Parade are officially canceled.
